【教学重点】1.理解掌握一对反义词tall, short，并在实际情境中运用。
            2.掌握句子。look at …… it’s so …… yeah. you’re right.
                        the giraffe is tall. the deer is short.
【教学难点】在实际情境中运用重要词汇及句子。
【教具准备】
1本课生词的单词卡片或图片。（giraffe ,deer, tall, short）
2.句子的卡片。look at the giraffe. it’s so tall. yeah, you’re right. the giraffe is tall.
3.教学课件。
4.学生一人一张长颈鹿和梅花鹿的图片。
  【教学过程】
一、热身/复习
1.播放三年级上册第四单元b部分的歌谣。（chant）
2.课件出现竹子，让学生想起熊猫panda。出现骨头，让学生想起狗dog。出现胡萝卜，让学生复习兔子rabbit。出现榛子，让学生复习松鼠squirrel。师：look at the…,it’s cute/ funny/lovely/smart.
二、呈现新课 
1、通过长颈鹿的长脖子和雄鹿头上的角，引出giraffe和deer.这两种动物，操练这两个新单词。
2.师：look at the giraffe . look at the deer. where is the difference? 引导学生观察他们的身高状况，学习tall 和short.(出示这两个词卡)并让学生到黑板上贴卡片。
    tall→giraffe    short→deer
3、学习look at the giraffe , it’s so tall .look at the deer. it’s short. 出示it’s so …句型，并贴在黑板上。
4.让学生操练这句话。如果学生正确将其说出来。老师就说yeah, you’re right.（并用手势表示）
5.let’s do.(学生出示图片，并用手比划高矮)
    look at the giraffe. look at the giraffe.
    it’s so tall.       it’s so tall.
    look at the deer.    look at the deer.
    it’s short.         it’s short.
    yeah, you’re right.
   6.看课件上的图片，得出the giraffe is tall. the deer is short.并操练这两句话。（同桌间一人一句）
引导孩子们和老师、同学比一比身高运用上这两个单词。you’re tall. i’m short.共2页，当前第1页12
