Drawthestudents'attentiontopage12.Inpreparationfortherestofthislesson,theaudiotapeprovidesaquickreviewofcoloursandletters.Studentswillalsopractiseprintingtheletters.
Givethe"listen"command.Theaudiotapewillrepeateachsentence.HavetheStudentssaythewordsalongwiththeaudiotapebothtimes,pointingateachletterasitisnamed.Theaudiotapesays:
A,red.A,red.E,green.E,green./,blue.Lblue.O,orange.O,orange.
U,yellow.U,yellow.
Giveeachstudentapageforprinting.Askthestudentstoselectmarkersinthecoloursoftheletterstheyseeonpage12.Tellthemthatyouwantthemtoprinteachletterinthesamecolourasisdisplayedinthestudentbook.WalkabouttheCLaSSroomasyourepeatthewordsfromtheaudiotape,ensuringthatallstudentsunderstandthedirectionsandassistinganyonewhoishavingdifficulty.
