在当今这个社会自律是非常重要的，尤其是对于大学生来说。跟高中生相比，大学生对于选择做什么、怎么做相对来说比较自由。然而，也正是这样的变化更加需要我们大学生自律。

自律是提高自我的关键。首先，没有自律，一些大学生会由于其他一些诱惑而分心，比如玩游戏。与此相反，在自律的影响下大学生会激励自己学习去学习一些有用的东西来提高他们的能力。另一方面，由于大学生正处于性格和个性形成的重要阶段，自律在让他们变得更好中是不可或缺的。一名有自律的大学生会抗自己的责任，做一个更好的人。他会克服懒惰，贪婪以及其他的诱惑，并专注于自己的方式变得更好。此外，自律会帮助一个人成为一个受人尊敬的人因为一个自律的人会控制自己遵循的基本的规则或道德，也会避免做对社会和公众有害的事。

自律不容易

当人们身处公共场所的时候，他们意识到不应该在公共场合大声说话和不应该插队等等，这些是规则，虽然法律没有规定，但是这是道德的力量。自律看起来很容易做到，但是面对巨大的诱惑时，自律很快就会被打破。
